Supports the successful execution of all operations in the hotel operations departments (may include Front Office, , Housekeeping, Food and Beverage/Culinary and Engineering/Maintenance) and managing staff. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department. Ensures that standards and procedures are being followed. Leads specific team while assisting with meeting or exceeding property goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Rooms Division
· Ensure all areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness and presentation standards
· Implement and enforce hotel brand standards, health regulations and safety protocols
· Assist with the recruitment, training and supervision of staff
· Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among associates
· Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback
· Assist in managing the inventory of cleaning supplies, linens and guest amenities
· Ensure lost and found procedures are followed
· Work closely with other departments, including front office and maintenance, to enhance the guest experience and all other duties as assigned
· Ensures that goals are being translated to the team as they relate to guest tracking and productivity.
· Understands employee and guest satisfaction results and communicates game plans to address need areas and expand the strengths.
· Assists in ensuring that the team has the capabilities to meet expectations.
· Leads by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
· Assists employees in understanding guests’ ever-changing needs and expectations, and exceeding them.
· Provides excellent customer service by being readily available/approachable for all guests.
· Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns.
· Extends professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times.
· Responds timely to customer service department request.
· Ensures all team members meet or exceed all hospitality requirements.
Qualifications:
· 2-4 years of Operations experience. Supervisory experience is required
· Knowledge of procedures and industry standards in the Rooms Division including but not limited to: Housekeeping, Front Office and Food & Beverage
· Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work flexible hours; including nights, weekends and holidays
· Ability to look at computer screens for prolonged periods
Physical Requirements:
· Push and pull on a regular daily basis item ranging 50-75 lbs. approx.
· Lifting on a regular daily basis item ranging 5-25 lbs. approx.
· Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching
· Exposure to cleaning chemicals
· Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
· Ability to transition from sedentary and administrative to physical duties in controlled climate to duties both indoor and outdoor in temperatures that may exceed 90 degrees
