About this role
Responsible for the oversight and administration of the grant program. Serves as spokesperson on programs and services provided to agencies or community leaders. Maintains information on program outcomes, creates program reports, and serves as the liaison to State and other related program entities. Works with subject matter experts and promotes the benefits of the programs. Identifies and supervises staff, administers budget. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.What a day of a Program Grant Director looks like:
- Manages the activities of one or more staff. Performs needs analysis to arrange, coordinate, deliver, evaluate, and monitor staff development. Guides staff to provide responsive professional assistance to students, encouraging and supporting a student focused environment.
- Acts as a College liaison for programs and services with outside agencies or community leaders. Communicates with targeted school and community personnel regarding the program and maintains data on program participants. Travels to and participates in various meetings and committees.
- Ensures compliance with program and budgetary terms set forth within the grant document. Prepares status and final reports for funding agencies or industry. Monitors expenditure and revenue patterns and adjusts the budget as needed.
- Administers, manages or coordinates advising programs and events. Responds to requests from parents and students regarding program, transfers, and complaints. May conduct workshops with parents regarding College and program information requirements.
- Prepares and negotiates contracts and agreements for vendors. This includes labor and service negotiating. Seeks funding from local businesses for program events.
- Monitors or reviews grants and contracts for restricted programs. Administers any policies, procedures, and restrictions imposed by the grant or contracts.
- Implements, monitors, and evaluates comprehensive services provided to program participants.
- Develops short-term and long-range goals, objectives, priorities, and recommendations.
- Liaison among departments, functions or groups, within or outside the College. Communicates information to appropriate personnel.
- Attends workshops, seminars and conferences to sharpen job related skills. Maintains on-going knowledge of policies, procedures, laws and ordinances, and grant guidelines.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree
- Two years of related experience, to include supervisory experience
- Grant administration orproject budget experience
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled in:
- Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
- Providing appropriate audit responses
- Delivering a high level of customer service
- Managing and resolving conflict in a positive manner
- Motivating subordinates to apply the effort necessary to attain organizational and departmental goals
Ability to:
- Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
- Work in an alternate environment based on program or college need
- Accurately manage a budget
- Effectively promote programs
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
- Regular physical attendance required
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Must have demonstrated commitment and sensitivity for addressing the needs of economically and educationally disadvantaged youth

The minimum base pay for this position starts at $57,778.00 annually; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience.
