Casual Merchandiser - Westgate/Hobsville

Job Description

We are on the lookout for sales superstars in Westgate/Hobsville to come and work with us as a Merchandiser in our sales team during the holidays, supporting the business as we head into our busy Christmas season and with possibility of staying on a longer term. 
 
We partner with our retail customers to deliver fantastic in-store execution – requires getting your hands dirty as you build displays and stock shelves! But along the way you’ll gain fantastic exposure to the business and the FMCG industry with great training and support from our passionate team. This will be a marvelous addition to your CV and the references could be that point of difference specially if you are at the early stages of your career. 
 
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate great communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and tasks. You’ll need to be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment so being proactive and agile are key requirements for this role.

This is an On-call, casual position. Availability is required from October through December (Christmas eve), with additional work occurring on an as-needed basis. You must be flexible with shifts, as hours will vary weekly. A reliable vehicle, valid car insurance, and a current full or restricted driver’s license are required.

How you will contribute
You will:

• Build strong relationships with our customers and Sales team by being reliable, efficient and communicating effectively;
• Build displays of our products in line with our standards and in the pre-agreed locations;
• Use impactful Point of Sale on our displays to generate shopper interest in our products;
• Make sure our products are always available on shelf for shoppers to purchase;
• Keep looking for additional opportunities to enable shoppers to enjoy our products.

• Ideally have previous merchandising experience but don’t worry, we will provide training if you haven’t;
• Be confident with good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;
• Be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and take pride in your work;
• Be flexible, as hours may change due to business needs and busy times of the year;
• Be comfortable using the technology in a Smart phone.
