The Opportunity

As the Senior Sales Specialist, manage territory consistent with Abbott goals. Demonstrating product capabilities to customers, assist in customer training, customer profiling, account maintenance, and local trade show management. Represent Abbott in product introductions and implementation of sales programs. Provide feedback to marketing on field concerns, issues and requirements. Interact with development group to stay on the leading edge of technology advancements and assist with providing the voice of the customer into product direction.

What You'll Do

• Senior Specialist will work with Advocates or Future Advocates to facilitate full CGM adoption. He/she will ensure all questions and concerns of HCPs will be addressed.
• Patient enrollment into MyFreeStyle Program will also be facilitated by Senior Specialists.
• Senior Sales Specialists will also help provide 3rd party team top level guidance and support when higher funnel HCPs raise concerns.
• Ensure that company strategies are correctly and uniformly implemented.
• Carry out and deliver set KPIs, sales calls, targeting high sales areas for maximum efficiency.
• Develop new business trade opportunities with existing and potential clients.
• Maintain close relationships with key accounts and ensure the company’s products are meeting the requirement where possible.
• Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image, ensuring activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity in assigned trade accounts and provide feedback and strategies to management so as to protect and improve market share in the trade channel.
• Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products and services to customer requirements.
• Attend regular departmental meetings with manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.
• Meet the requirements of Class A by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the quality requirements of the business are met. Observe 100% compliance on OEC and other company-defined guidelines.
• Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and work practices in the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
• Provide assistance to Senior Sales Manager and Associate Product Manager for special tasks related to trade sales, marketing and CME.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in product sales (customer interaction) in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Selling Skills • Apply ADC SSS performance standards and able to handle MDs and customers’ concerns.
• Articulate product knowledge and campaign theme in a sales call.
• Good command of Medical Terminology.
• Customize calls based on HCPs profile.

Product Knowledge • Demonstrate and articulate knowledge on medical background relevant to the product.
• Product knowledge or product profile.
• Current promotional program, Territory/Market knowledge (including competition).

Sales Planning and Organization • Perform sales analysis, territory business planning, proper HCP targeting/selection, KOL development and competition benchmarking.
• Manage resources allocated to take prompt actions, enabling accomplishment of yearly objectives or exceeding expectations.
• Comply with administrative requirements by submitting substantial updated reports and feedback.

Sales Execution and Analysis • Effectively utilize resources and manage changes in the work environment.
• Deliver required qualitative and quantitative calls and carry out assigned tasks with positive results.
• Evaluate logically current relevant and significant action items.
