The Role
Are you passionate about fitness and love leading energising, high-quality group workouts? We're looking for enthusiastic Group Fitness Instructors to bring their energy to our vibrant fitness community. Whether you're an experienced instructor or just starting your Group Fitness career, we're looking for people who can connect with members, bring positive energy and are keen to learn and develop.
We offer a diverse range of classes, including Les Mills programs, freestyle formats and Reformer Pilates. Whether you're delivering high-energy workouts or mindful movement-based sessions, you'll play a key role in creating an engaging and motivating experience for our members.
For equipment-based classes, you'll also have access to Les Mills Smart Tech equipment.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging and professional Group Fitness classes
- Lead with confidence, demonstrating safe and effective techniques
- Provide high-level coaching to suit all fitness levels and abilities
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where members feel supported
- Build rapport with participants and contribute to positive member experiences
- Play a role in promoting classes and gym events
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for Group Fitness and creating great member experiences — we value attitude, energy and potential as much as experience
- Confident, positive and engaging communication skills
- A willingness to learn, take feedback and continue developing as an instructor
- A team-first attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to our fitness community
- Current relevant fitness qualification/registration, First Aid and CPR
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Relevant program accreditation where required
- Desirable programs: Les Mills Shapes, Reformer Pilates, Aqua Aerobics, Les Mills Bodypump Heavy and Zumba
- Availability across a range of class times, with early mornings and lunchtimes preferred

About Us
Based on the Macquarie University Campus, the centre is a multipurpose fitness venue featuring a fully equipped Health Club, an indoor and outdoor heated pool, Group Fitness classes, and a variety of social sport programs. Programs run seven days a week and incorporate participation from the broader community as well as university members.
