Role Overview
Enterprises are transforming at an unprecedented pace, requiring their business applications and technology platforms to evolve in parallel. Enterprise application environments are becoming increasingly complex, spanning SaaS, cloud-native and legacy platforms, while AI, automation, composable architectures, and agentic capabilities are reshaping how applications are built, integrated, and used. To help enterprises make informed technology and sourcing decisions, we are significantly expanding our coverage of the evolving enterprise applications and business platforms landscape. This market-facing role is part of this expansion and includes research agenda creation, research delivery, market analysis, and industry engagement.
Responsibilities
- Represent the firm and share point of view on the evolution of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, HCM, SCM, industry applications, SaaS platforms, and AI-native and agentic applications, through external conferences, boardroom presentations, industry events, and public videos
- Engage with senior leadership teams and CXOs across end-user organizations, service providers, technology vendors, and platform companies to advise them on enterprise application strategies, technology roadmaps, modernization priorities, and emerging market trends
- Delivery ownership of research products that include an annual calendar of research artifacts, including market reports, white papers, and RadarViews. This includes significant writing and content development by the candidate
- Conduct in-depth research through briefings, analyst inquiries, and direct discussions with business and technology leaders, including CXOs, across end-user, service provider, technology product, and platform companies
- Track and analyze developments across enterprise applications, SaaS, ERP, CRM, HCM, supply chain platforms, industry-specific applications, and AI-enabled application platforms
- Establish innovative research processes, methodologies, and frameworks to structure and analyze market data, benchmark providers and platforms, and develop differentiated, repeatable insights
- Provide research and analytical support around intelligence covering macroeconomic, sectoral trends, competitor information, industry analysis, financial information, qualitative and quantitative information assessment
- Contribute to the development and management of new research products, with exposure to the full product development lifecycle includingmarket definition and methodology design
- MBA or equivalent from Tier 1 institutes, with 6–14 years of experience in research, strategy, consulting, enterprise applications, or technology advisory
- Candidates with significant experience in Big 4 or other strategy consulting firms are preferred. Prior experience with leading technology industry analyst firms will be an advantage
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications and business platforms, with exposure to areas such as ERP, CRM, HCM, SCM, SaaS, application modernization, enterprise architecture, and AI-enabled applications
- Strong aspiration to become a prominent industry voice with significant influence on how enterprises adopt and transform their application environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English, with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research and executive-facing content
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret market data, assess vendors and platforms, and translate complex technology developments into actionable business insights
- Strong sense of ownership, attention to quality, and adherence to timelines
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones/ geographies
