Description
The role is critical for maintaining process safety, regulatory and quality compliance, plant reliability, production volume and capacity-utilization targets, product delivery, conversion cost, yield, losses, and utility efficiency. Timely recruitment will preserve operational continuity, strengthen team capability, and reduce the risk of safety incidents, production disruption, quality issues, and customer-service impact.
Job Description :
• Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, environmental, occupational health and safety, and process-safety requirements.
• Stop plant operations in emergencies and lead incident response, reporting, mitigation, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate across departments to achieve production volume and capacity-utilization targets and meet delivery schedules.
• Control raw materials, operating conditions, repairs, product quality, yield, losses, waste, and utility efficiency.
• Establish workforce plans, work assignments, and performance expectations for the production team.
• Build team capability through training, coaching, mentoring, and competency-development plans.
• Review production, quality, and employee performance; implement improvements, recognition, discipline, and career plans.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workplace and review environmental and safety impact assessments.
• Make timely operational decisions to prevent accidents, equipment damage, and production downtime.
• Prepare and manage operating budgets, control conversion costs, and lead profitability improvements.
• Deliver zero accidents, 100% product compliance, no contamination or customer complaints, and budgeted production, cost, yield, and loss targets.
Requirement & Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing or oleochemicals.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering, maintenance management, and SHE standards.
• Knowledge of oleochemical processing and hydrogenation, including hydrogen and catalyst handling.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Halal, Kosher, FSSC 22000, GMP, and Unilever Safety Standards.
• Strong process-safety awareness, operational judgment, and problem-solving ability.
• Good English, communication, interpersonal, presentation, and public-speaking skills.
• Excellent leadership, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, coaching, and team-development skills.
