Location: Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico
Work Arrangement: 100% On-site
Schedule: 4x3 rotating schedule, 12-hour shifts
Duration: 12-Month Temporary Assignment
About the Role:
Launch Operations Engineer to support the successful implementation and launch of new products, manufacturing processes, and production equipment. This role will actively participate in equipment validation, process start-up, pilot builds, and launch activities while working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure a smooth and successful launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the launch of new products, manufacturing processes, and production equipment.
- Coordinate and track activities related to the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Participate in the validation, commissioning, and release of new equipment and machinery.
- Support pilot builds, production trials, and start-up activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, safety, and production requirements are met during launch phases.
- Identify, document, and follow up on risks, findings, and action plans.
- Monitor early production performance and support corrective actions to ensure process stability.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement standards.
- Assist in problem-solving activities related to equipment, processes, and product launches.
- Support readiness reviews and launch milestones to ensure successful program execution.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive or manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting product, process, or equipment launch activities is preferred.
- Experience with equipment validation and manufacturing process implementation.
Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
- Experience with validation and commissioning of new equipment, machinery, or manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of pilot builds and production launch activities.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and quality documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google enviroment applications.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and manufacturing processes is a plus.
Language Requirements:
- Intermediate English proficiency preferred.
