Salary: £30,000 - £31,000

Location: West Yorkshire (Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees, Calderdale)

Contract: Full-Time


About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Employability Compliance Officer to join an organisation operating within the Welfare-to-Work and Employability sector.

This role will be responsible for supporting compliance, data and quality across employability provision, helping to ensure that programme activity, participant records and supporting evidence are accurate, complete and maintained to the required standards.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of the Welfare-to-Work (W2W) sector and will play an important role in maintaining high standards of compliance and quality while identifying areas for improvement.


The Role

As an Employability Compliance Officer, you will work across compliance, data and quality functions, reviewing programme information and supporting the organisation to maintain accurate records and effective processes.

You will need a good understanding of how employability provision operates and be confident working with data, documentation and internal stakeholders to identify issues and support continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor compliance across employability and Welfare-to-Work provision.

  • Review participant and programme records for accuracy and completeness.

  • Monitor data quality and identify discrepancies or gaps.

  • Carry out compliance checks against relevant programme requirements.

  • Review supporting documentation and evidence.

  • Identify areas of non-compliance and support corrective action.

  • Maintain accurate compliance and quality records.

  • Work with operational teams to resolve data and compliance issues.

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of quality processes.

  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks and areas requiring improvement.

  • Prepare compliance and quality information for internal review.

  • Support audit preparation and evidence gathering where required.

  • Ensure documentation is maintained accurately and consistently.

  • Provide guidance to colleagues on compliance and data requirements.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement across compliance, data and quality processes.


About You

You will have experience working within the Welfare-to-Work, Employability or Employment Support sector, with a strong understanding of compliance, data and quality requirements.

You will be analytical and detail-focused, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues and work constructively with operational teams to improve standards.

Essential

  • Experience working within the Welfare-to-Work or Employability sector.

  • Experience in compliance, data, quality assurance or a related function.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience reviewing records, documentation and data.

  • Ability to identify compliance issues and areas for improvement.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience working with government-funded employability provision.

  • Knowledge of Welfare-to-Work programme compliance requirements.

  • Experience supporting audits or quality assurance activity.

  • Understanding of funding compliance and evidence requirements.
