  • Manage equipment calibration and verification by maintaining calibration records and databases, coordinating external calibration services, and supporting fixture and gauge design.
  • Maintain inspection records and reporting by tracking requests, measurement results, labor, and project data; maintaining controlled production part documentation; and preparing and communicating inspection and analysis reports.
  • Collaborate on technical problem-solving with product engineers and internal customers to interpret requirements, assess dimensional impacts on product performance, and resolve measurement and inspection challenges.
  • Provide technical leadership and support by working independently with limited direction, mentoring team members, supporting inspection planning and process improvements, and complying with company policies and standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Experience: 5-7 years of related experience required.
  • Certifications: Certified Quality Inspector certification required; Certified Quality Technician or Calibration Technician certification required within 18 months of hire; PI Bronze certification required within six months of hire.
  • Experience programming, operating, and troubleshooting CMMs and using precision measurement equipment, including gauges, micrometers, and surface measurement instruments; experience with Mitutoyo MCOSMOS or similar software preferred.
  • Knowledge of measurement system analysis (MSA), gauge repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) studies, process capability, statistical reporting, equipment calibration, and related documentation; fixture and gauge design knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, develop measurement strategies, select appropriate inspection equipment, analyze data, and solve technical problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and measurement data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills, with strong organizational and time management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing requests.
