- Manage complex production engineering projects across multiple products or manufacturing areas.
- Monitor performance dashboards, investigate trends, and coordinate root-cause and failure-analysis activities.
- Prioritize structural production issues and drive timely resolution with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Manage capital investment requirements and spending while balancing technical needs, budgets, and operational impact.
- Coordinate new-product industrialization, including factory readiness, build sequencing, qualification, and implementation risks.
- Present project status, performance metrics, risks, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
Education and Experience
To succeed as a Senior Project Lead, Production Engineering, you will need:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, optical, chemical, industrial, or mechatronics engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline with eight or more years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in a related technical discipline with five or more years of relevant experience.
- At least three years of experience leading people, projects, or cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Experience in production engineering, project management, manufacturing, or new-product industrialization.
- Experience managing capital budgets and coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of root-cause analysis, failure analysis, and structured continuous improvement methods.
- Experience using enterprise resource planning systems and reporting tools such as SAP and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or comparable improvement methodologies.
