Primary Responsibilities:
Surgical Assistance:
Surgical Assistance:
- Greet, seat and prepare the patients for procedures.
- Take and document vital signs, medical histories, and give post-op instructions.
- Provide patient education and answer any questions with empathy and clarity.
Radiology:
- Take digital radiographs including CBCT’s when needed.
Instrument and Operatory Maintenance:
- Sterilize and organize instruments and supplies.
- Clean and reset rooms between patients.
Team Support:
- Communication with the front office, billing, and other clinical staff for seamless patient flow.
- Support inventory management and ordering of clinical supplies.
Compliance:
- Follow OSHA, CDC, and practice-specific infection control protocols at all times.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Dental Assistant Certification or Oral Surgery Assistant training ( Preferred, but not required- training available).
Experience:
- Prior dental, or surgical assisting experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate!
- Comfort with patient care, aseptic technique and EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
