Job Description

As a Security Officer Visitor Management in Nicholasville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming, orderly environment while helping to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, authorizing entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintaining visitor and driver records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at assigned entry points, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
