Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for the performance and results of the team within the area of technical expertise.
Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource constraints and operational challenges effectively.
Make decisions and solve problems in alignment with policies, procedures, and departmental goals, while receiving guidance from senior management as needed.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to employees, colleagues, and customers to support objectives.
Apply a deep understanding of the business and how the team integrates with other areas to achieve departmental goals.
Oversee one or more teams with similar functions, adapting plans to meet short-term service and operational objectives.
Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges while considering the broader impact across the department.
Influence and guide internal and external stakeholders to adopt new perspectives or approaches.
Ensure the team meets service, quality, and timeliness objectives by implementing effective policies and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in technical product sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Proven ability to manage and develop professional employees and/or supervisors in a technical sales environment.
Strong understanding of sales processes, technical product knowledge, and how the team’s objectives align with broader business goals.
Demonstrated ability to adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges effectively.
Experience providing technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues, and customers.
Excellent problem-solving skills, including identifying and resolving technical and operational issues with broader departmental impact.
Strong communication and influencing skills to guide stakeholders and drive alignment with new perspectives or strategies.
Ability to work within policies and procedures while making impactful decisions to achieve service, quality, and timeliness objectives.
Proficiency in using sales and CRM software, analytics tools, and other relevant technologies.
