Description
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
Develop, debug, and maintain code that enables the parallel testing of advanced memory devices. Support R&D, interacting closely with global teams, as well as taking part in the designing and debugging of test hardware. Develop efficient and innovative solutions of production test flows through test algo optimization. Design test plans for new tests and test algorithms for DRAM, which cover test software and hardware requirements, defect coverage, characterization, trending, process flow, and test times. Develop test programs for products using primarily C++ coding and Python on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) in the given area followed by test program release to manufacturing areas. Drive innovation and improvement through optimizing test programs by applying more efficient testing methods to reduce product test times and manufacturing costs. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the device/part as it applies to device/part testing. Automate test processes by writing software to improve work efficiency. Develop tools to help provide better analysis and insight of the terabytes of probe data. Develop new Design for Test (DFT), Design For Manufacturability (DFM), and Design For Reliability (DFR) capabilities. Independently debug and identify root causes of test issues and provide solutions across internal/external groups. Provide meaningful statistical data analysis, analytics and justification of program validation and its release to ensure program quality and data integrity. Evaluate and verify yields/quality with global teams to ensure shipping of the highest quality product to our customers with adherence to all data sheet specifications. Support both internal and external groups on experiments designed to improve yield or capacity by resolving test issues that impact site operations in a timely manner. Support intra-departmental (and multi-site) teams in development of new processes and capabilities to support product roadmap; lead teams and drive development where necessary. Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers to develop and qualify new test solutions in a timely manner. Demonstrate ability to leverage existing resources and serve as a liaison and coach. Actively share and/or present technical information to a wide variety of audiences, including formal presentations (when necessary) to area, department, site, or larger industry groups.
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires:
1. Digital logic gates, CMOS transistor operation, and DRAM memory device physics as they relate to test and reliability
2. Programming skills for developing and debugging test algorithms, including C++
3. Unix/Linux development environments and command line tools for test program development
4. Python/Perl scripting for automated test development and data extraction
5. Data analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and statistical modeling to derive actionable insights from large and complex datasets
6. CMOS manufacturing
7. Semiconductor memory testers (ATE platforms) and algorithm pattern generation (APG)
