Job Title
VP, Strategy & Operations, Advisory Technology
Job Description Summary
Job Description
About the Role
Cushman & Wakefield is evolving how technology supports its Advisory business, moving toward a more product-led model that better connects business priorities, technology delivery, broker enablement and client needs.
The VP, Strategy & Operations will be a senior leader within the Advisory Technology organization, supporting the Head of Technology by synthesizing input from Product, Architecture, Engineering, and the business into one coherent agenda, running the cadences that keep execution aligned, and representing data & technology priorities across the Advisory business, inclusive of Occupier, Investor, Market Leadership, Revenue Operations & Marketing. Part of this synthesis includes ensuring the technology roadmap and delivery plan stay visibly aligned to the commercial objectives set by the Chief Revenue Officer, so that technology investment and go-to-market priorities move in the same direction.
The role will also lead Client Care, Broker Technology Support, Salesforce Platform Support, and Digital Enablement, ensuring brokers, field teams, and the broader Americas Salesforce user base are effectively onboarded, trained, supported, and set up to adopt new technology capabilities.
This position sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, operations and field enablement. It is designed for a leader who can connect teams, establish clear priorities, resolve execution dependencies, and put in place the operating discipline needed to move complex initiatives forward, including cross-tower coordination, intake and readiness governance, and operating cadence.
What Will Do
Strategy & Business Alignment
- Partner with the Head of Technology, Advisory business leaders, and Product leads to synthesize business priorities, product roadmaps, and field/broker needs into one coherent technology and transformation agenda across Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Investor/Occupier Products.
- Ensure roadmaps are connected, sequenced, and visible as part of a single integrated plan.
- Connect broker, client and field needs with technology investment and product priorities.
- Maintain an integrated view of strategic initiatives, dependencies, risks and resource needs across teams.
- Ensure technology priorities and delivery remain aligned to CRO-defined commercial objectives, flagging and helping resolve gaps between the technology agenda and sales/commercial priorities as they arise.
- Help leadership make trade-offs when priorities compete for limited capacity, drawing on input from product and business leads rather than setting direction independently of it.
Client Care, Broker Support & Digital Enablement
- Lead the team responsible for client care, broker technology support, and Salesforce platform support across the Americas, spanning all Salesforce instances and user populations.
- Own digital enablement: onboarding, training, and hands-on adoption support for brokers, field teams, and other Salesforce users as new capabilities are introduced.
- Ensure new products and platform capabilities have clear launch, training, and field-readiness plans.
- Develop scalable enablement approaches across products, regions, and user populations, brokerage and non-brokerage alike.
- Use adoption data, support trends, and platform-wide feedback to identify improvement opportunities and inform future product priorities.
- Support platform governance and data quality for Salesforce; CRM strategy and roadmap decisions for Investor and Occupier products remain owned by the respective Product Owners, who this role partners with as peers.
Product Operations & Rollout Readiness
- Ensure new products and capabilities are fully ready before rollout, defining and holding teams to clear readiness criteria before launch, rather than launching and fixing issues afterward.
- Confirm that support model, training materials, documentation, monitoring, and escalation paths are stood up and in place prior to go-live, not built reactively after adoption issues surface.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering & Delivery to close the gap between proof-of-concept and production-ready, so initiatives don't move to rollout before the operational foundation is in place.
- Own go/no-go readiness checks for major launches, coordinating across enablement, support, and platform teams to confirm the organization can actually absorb and support what's being released.
- Build a repeatable intake and readiness-gate framework so rollout preparation becomes a consistent discipline across products, rather than being defined ad hoc for each launch.
Cross-Team Execution & Coordination
- Work across Product Management, Sales, Architecture and Engineering & Delivery to keep priorities and execution aligned.
- Coordinate shared resources and dependencies where initiatives span multiple teams.
- Help resolve day-to-day execution trade-offs and escalate material strategic or funding decisions when needed.
- Ensure initiatives remain connected from business prioritization through design, delivery, launch and adoption.
Operating Model & Governance
- Establish planning, prioritization and leadership-review cadences across Advisory Technology.
- Provide leadership with clear visibility into portfolio progress, capacity, risks, dependencies and outcomes.
- Define practical governance and escalation mechanisms that support faster decision-making without adding unnecessary process.
- Drive follow-through on key decisions and cross-functional commitments, acting as a trusted extension of the Head of Technology in day-to-day coordination and communication across the organization.
How the Role Works with Other Leaders
This role will not replace the accountability of individual technology functions. Product leaders, including the Investor and Occupier Product Owners, will continue to own product strategy, roadmaps, and CRM direction for their domains as peers to this role, not as functions this role directs. Enterprise Architecture will own architecture direction and technology standards; Engineering will own software delivery.
The VP, Strategy & Operations will own Client Care, Broker Support, Digital Enablement, Operations and Salesforce Platform Support while also connecting across Product, Engineering and Architecture when priorities, resources or dependencies span multiple teams, synthesizing their input into one integrated agenda rather than setting strategy independently.
The role operates as a close strategic partner and day-to-day extension of the Head of Technology, helping translate their priorities into coordinated execution, running the cadences and follow-through that keep the organization aligned, and representing those priorities across teams. Engagement with the Chief Revenue Officer's commercial priorities happens through this role's coordination work, not as a direct reporting relationship; the Head of Technology remains the primary interface with senior business leadership, including the CRO.
What Success Looks Like
- Business and technology priorities are clearly connected.
- Leadership has better visibility into priorities, capacity and execution.
- Cross-functional dependencies are resolved faster.
- Brokers and the broader Americas Salesforce user base are better prepared to adopt new technology.
- Field and platform-wide feedback consistently informs product and technology decisions.
- Technology spending and vendor commitments are managed with stronger discipline.
- Strategic initiatives move from decision to execution with fewer organizational handoffs.
- Major launches consistently meet readiness criteria before go-live, reducing reactive post-launch fixes.
What We Are Looking For
- Senior leadership experience spanning strategy, operations, transformation, technology or commercial organizations.
- Experience operating as a trusted strategic partner and extension of a senior leader, translating their priorities into coordinated execution across teams.
- Experience working across product, technology, business and field-facing teams in a complex matrixed environment.
- Strong ability to translate strategy into priorities, operating plans and measurable execution.
- Experience leading organizational change, technology adoption or enablement at scale.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with portfolio management, budgeting, vendor management and operational governance.
- Experience establishing readiness or launch-governance disciplines (e.g., go/no-go processes, stage gates) in a technology or product organization.
- Ability to make practical trade-offs, resolve ambiguity and drive decisions across teams without relying solely on formal reporting authority.
