Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Operations in Owensville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor access points, verify authorized entry, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a utility location.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities, observations, incidents, and access-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
