Description

Our client, DELV Design, is growing its team again!

About DELV

DELV’s place-based practice unites creative, human-centered design with a pragmatic and collaborative spirit, crafting authentic contemporary spaces anchored in community and context. Our approach is built on a shared purpose: enriching our communities through thoughtful design. Our process is deliberately divergent and iterative, balancing opportunities and constraints with optimism. We are research-based and relationship-driven. We respect cultural, environmental, and economic forces in the pursuit of quality and meaningful solutions that endure. We foster connections through thoughtful engagement to guide our clients through transformational work.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A self-starter who enjoys creative autonomy and takes initiative.
  • Someone who takes their craft seriously, but themselves…not so much.
  • A curious teammate who keeps learning and invests in the team’s success.
  • Someone who enjoys moving between roles on varied projects and collaborative teams.

About the Role

As a project architect, you’ll lead day-to-day architectural delivery for a diverse mix of projects, from due diligence and design through permitting, construction administration, and closeout. You’ll work with a collaborative design team to turn client goals into coordinated, buildable solutions, taking ownership of architectural documentation and technical coordination with support from senior staff.

  • Develop and coordinate architectural drawings, details, and specifications across project phases.
  • Lead code analysis, accessibility review, permitting coordination, and integration of engineering consultant work.
  • Coordinate team tasks and milestones, communicate with clients, and work with the project manager to maintain scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Participate in construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, site observations, and project closeout.
  • Check document quality and consistency, resolve technical issues, and support less experienced team members.

What You'll Bring

  • 4–9 years of professional architectural experience and a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in architecture.
  • An architectural license in Indiana or your state of residence.
  • Proficiency with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to plan and detail varied construction types and carry design intent from concepts through technical documentation.
  • Experience coordinating consultants, applying codes, and delivering projects; clear communication and organization.
  • Experience with adaptive reuse, renovation, and/or historic preservation projects strongly preferred.

Salary within this range will reflect experience, qualifications, and demonstrated project leadership. DELV offers a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; paid family leave; generous PTO; and a culture you can't find anywhere else.
