Yee Hong is one of the foremost providers of culturally appropriate senior care in the country, delivering high-quality resident experience and care to Chinese and other Asian seniors since 1994. The organization operates 805 long-term care beds and 308 seniors’ apartment units, with an additional 224 long-term care beds opening in a new home by June 2026. In addition, Yee Hong offers four campuses of managed care, a hospice residence, and a wide range of community-based senior and caregiver support services. Through this comprehensive network, the organization serves more than 15,000 individuals annually across the Greater Toronto Area.

We are seeking a strategic and visionary Senior Director, Communications, Marketing & External Relations to lead Yee Hong's communications, brand, government relations, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and marketing initiatives. Reporting to the President & CEO, this role plays a critical part in advancing Yee Hong's reputation, strategic priorities, and community impact.
What You'll Do
- Lead integrated communications, marketing, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Strengthen Yee Hong's brand, reputation, and organizational visibility.
- Build and maintain relationships with government, media, community, and healthcare partners.
- Lead advocacy, government relations, and issues management initiatives.
- Oversee digital communications, social media, marketing campaigns, and content strategy.
- Provide strategic counsel to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Build and develop a high-performing communications and marketing team.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in communications, marketing, public affairs, and stakeholder relations.
- Proven success in government relations, media relations, advocacy, and reputation management.
- Strong leadership experience with a track record of building engaged, high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication, writing, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Experience leading organizational change and strategic initiatives.
- Healthcare, seniors' care, or non-profit sector experience is preferred.
- Board governance experience is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Occasional evening and weekend commitments.
- Travel between Yee Hong locations and external venues as required.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation required.
- Recent satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screen required.
