Summary of Job Duties:
Join Team UAMS as a Medical Lab Technician, overseeing day-to-day blood draw and testing operations of the UAMS Health Family Medicine Center in Fort Smith. In this role, you’ll be directly responsible for obtaining patient specimens, performing testing, maintaining equipment used to perform testing, and preparing specimens for transport to outside facilities., and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Technician from a regionally accredited school or program that is recognized by ASCP.
- At least six (6) months of phlebotomy experience
- Eligible to become certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP or equivalent national organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy Certification, ASCP, AMT, and/or National Certification as a MLT (ASCP, AMT or equivalent)
