Senior Learning & Development Partner
Huntsman is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Partner supporting the Human Resources Division located in Costa Rica. This position will report to the Learning and Organizational Development Manager.
Job Scope
The Senior Learning & Development Partner serves as the primary Learning & Development point of contact for Latin America, with a strong focus on Costa Rica. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and global L&D to identify capability needs, design and implement learning solutions, and foster a culture of continuous development.
The successful candidate combines strong facilitation and instructional design capabilities with a consulting mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to improve learning experiences while connecting global strategies with regional business priorities.
In summary, as the Senior Learning & Development Partner, you will:
- Serve as the primary Learning & Development point of contact for Latin America, acting as the trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and business leaders on learning and talent development needs.
- Consult with stakeholders to identify capability gaps, recommend learning solutions, and align development initiatives with business priorities.
- Translate global learning strategies into meaningful regional initiatives while sharing regional best practices across the global L&D network.
- Support the Shared Services learning roadmap for Costa Rica, including the Onboarding process.
- Facilitate sessions and training related to professional, business and leadership skills, which will include a combination of in-person and virtual delivery.
- Assist with the instructional design of new programs.
- Promote E-learning content and create development tracks with LinkedIn Learning.
- Assist with the L&D Programs annual planning process of developing the annual calendar, and tracking of participants. Support the Americas Learning & Development Manager, Human Resources Business Partners, and Stakeholders with training coordination and logistics.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
- Support Learning Management System (LMS) activities and partner with HR Shared Services to ensure an effective learner experience.
- Manage leadership assessment processes, including stakeholder communication, reporting, and vendor coordination.
- Generate learning analytics, HRIS reports, and executive summaries to support business decision-making.
- Manage external learning vendors to ensure learning solutions remain current, relevant, and aligned, and oversee purchase requisitions, invoices, and related administrative processes.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.
All candidates are expected to work at our office in AFZ, Heredia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please note that there may be occasions where additional office days are required, due specific business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience with significant experience in Learning & Development.
- Experience partnering with HR Business Partners and business leaders to identify organizational development needs.
- Experience facilitating instructor-led learning programs in both virtual and in-person environments.
- Experience designing learning solutions and adult learning experiences.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems.
- Fluency in English.

- Workday Learning preferred.
- Experience managing leadership assessment tools.
- Experience working in a multinational organization.
- Portuguese preferred.
Working Environment
- Travel requirements: 20%.
