Description
The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of the Salesforce platform. This position serves as the primary IT administrator for Salesforce and supports the management of related enterprise business platforms. The role partners with business and IT stakeholders coordinate platform configuration, integrations, automation, releases, governance, vendor support, and ongoing improvements aligned with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of Salesforce administration best practices, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
Salesforce Administration
Administer and maintain Salesforce environments, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related applications.
Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, workflows, flows, and approval processes.
Manage user accounts, profiles, permission sets, roles, groups, and sharing rules.
Ensure platform security, data integrity, and compliance with company policies.
Maintain application standards, documentation, access controls, and support procedures.
Participate in application governance, security reviews, and lifecycle planning.
Business Process Support
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement Salesforce solutions that support business objectives.
Analyze existing business processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user adoption.
Configure and optimize automation using Salesforce Flow and other native tools.
Data Management
Perform data imports, exports, cleansing, deduplication, and migration activities.
Monitor data quality and establish processes to maintain accurate and reliable information.
Develop and maintain data governance standards and procedures.
Reporting and Analytics
Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics for business leaders.
Provide analytical insights and recommendations based on Salesforce data.
Support forecasting, pipeline management, and operational reporting initiatives.
System Support and Training
Serve as the primary point of contact for Salesforce support requests.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
Develop user documentation, training materials, and best practices.
Conduct end-user training and onboarding sessions.
Support vendor relationships, licensing reviews, platform renewals, and product evaluations.
Integration and Release Management
Support integrations between Salesforce and external business systems.
Coordinate testing and deployment of system enhancements and releases.
Evaluate new Salesforce features and recommend adoption opportunities.
Manage or coordinate integrations and workflow automation across Salesforce and other enterprise platforms.
Monitor integration failures, platform issues, data quality, and support trends.
Coordinate platform enhancements, maintenance, releases, testing, and change activities.
Coordinate with internal technical teams and third-party implementation partners.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of Salesforce administration experience.
Experience with Salesforce configuration, security, reporting, and automation tools.
Strong understanding of CRM concepts and business processes.
Experience with data management, data quality, and reporting.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Bonus Points:
Salesforce Administrator Certification (or Advanced).
Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
Experience supporting Salesforce integrations and third-party applications.
Knowledge of Agile project methodologies.
Basic understanding of Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Platform capabilities.
Experience administering or supporting HubSpot, including CRM configuration, workflows, permissions, data quality, and Salesforce synchronization.
Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Experience administering or supporting ServiceNow and related IT service-management workflows.
Experience supporting integrations between enterprise SaaS products using APIs, middleware, webhooks, or integration platforms.
Experience building or managing cross-platform workflow automation.
Familiarity with SSO, user provisioning, role-based access, audit logging, and application security controls.
Experience coordinating SaaS vendors, licensing, upgrades, integrations, and application support.
Familiarity with application lifecycle management, change management, testing, and release coordination.
