As an HR Assistant, you'll play an essential role in creating an exceptional first impression for our newest team members while supporting the daily operations of our Human Resources department.
What You'll Do
Be the First Friendly Face
- Welcome and guide new employees through the onboarding process.
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks, screenings, and required documentation.
- Keep new hires informed every step of the way by communicating updates and answering questions.
- Verify licenses, certifications, and employment documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Capture employee badge photos and prepare ID badges.
- Help ensure every new team member has a smooth, positive first-day experience.
Keep Our HR Operations Running Smoothly
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HR system updates.
- Process payroll-related paperwork including tax forms and direct deposit information.
- Coordinate badge information with various hospital departments.
- Prepare onboarding guides and employee resources.
- Assist with filing, document management, and special HR projects.
- Support the HR team with administrative duties that keep everything organized and efficient.
Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
- Be a trusted resource for employees, applicants, students, agency staff, and contract workers.
- Answer HR-related questions and assist employees with self-service applications and basic HR processes.
- Support the Benefits team during Open Enrollment.
- Prepare employment verifications and general correspondence.
- Help maintain a welcoming, professional, and positive HR office.

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED or two (2) years of Human Resources experience in a mid- to large-sized healthcare organization.
- At least six (6) months of Human Resources or related customer service experience.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Previous healthcare Human Resources experience.
- Experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems.
