Job Description Summary
Engineering Business Operations is transforming how Engineering operates by building a consistent operating system that improves execution, strengthens quality, and drives better customer outcomes.The Engineering Execution Quality Leader will play a key role in this transformation by leading initiatives that improve engineering processes, strengthen design quality, prevent defects, increase First Pass Yield, and establish consistent operating mechanisms across the Engineering value stream. This role requires strong systems thinking, collaboration, and the ability to influence change across multiple engineering organizations.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the Engineering Execution Quality strategy as part of the Engineering Quality and Zero Defect roadmap, translating priorities into scalable operating practices.
- Embed In-Process Quality into engineering workflows through standardized execution practices and clear quality expectations.
- Establish governance and risk management practices to ensure compliance with quality standards and proactively mitigate execution risks.
- Define and deploy tools, systems, and digital enablers that support quality execution and data-driven decision making.
- Improve engineering quality by strengthening prevention-focused processes that reduce defects, increase First Pass Yield, and improve process capability.
- Develop operating mechanisms and leading indicators that improve visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze NCRs, RCAs, customer feedback, COPQ, and engineering performance data to identify systemic issues and drive preventive action.
- Partner with Global Supply Chain, Sourcing, Business Lines, Product Management, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to understand value stream performance, identify improvement opportunities, and evolve execution metrics and roadmaps that strengthen end-to-end quality.
- Build organizational capability and lead organizational change through training, coaching, cross-functional alignment, and adoption of improved ways of working.
Requirements
· Bachelors degree in a technical field such as engineering, science, math
· 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Quality, or Operational Excellence, with a proven track record of leading large-scale technical process transformations.
· Relevant/proven experience in direct or indirect leadership

· Clear understanding of the basic roles, functions, and products/services/ repairs within GE Gas Power

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
