This position reports to:
Commissioning&Warranty Suport Specialist__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing commissioning activities for marine and port projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery in accordance with contractual, technical, and cybersecurity requirements. You will work closely with project teams, site personnel, contractors, and customers to support installation, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance activities. Your expertise will contribute to successful project execution and customer satisfaction while upholding ABB's commitment to safety, integrity, and operational excellence.
The work model for the role is: Onsite (Most of the time at site - fabrication yard or site office)
This role is contributing to the Offshore solution under AUEN – eHouse solution, supporting ASEAN region, majority will be in Batam, Singapore) Main stakeholders. (Engineering, Planner, Construction, MC, QA/QC, Factory, warranty, warehouse, field service engineers)
You will be mainly accountable for:
Planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities for marine and port automation, electrification, and control system projects, ensuring delivery in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedules.
Supporting and coordinating installation and commissioning activities with Site Managers, Project Managers, contractors, and customers to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Conducting testing, troubleshooting, commissioning design updates, and documentation mark-ups, ensuring accurate as-built documentation and technical completion of projects.
Ensuring compliance with ABB safety, quality, cybersecurity, and contractual requirements while supporting customer acceptance testing, project close-out activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications for the role
You hold a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
You have experience in commissioning, field service, installation, testing, or project execution within marine, port, industrial automation, power, or electrification environments.
You possess a solid understanding of electrical distribution, automation, control systems, drives, or marine electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on site.
You are experienced in coordinating site activities with project teams, contractors, and customers, ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
You have strong knowledge of HSE requirements and demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and cybersecurity standards in project execution.
You are a proactive problem-solver with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working independently in a dynamic project environment.
You communicate effectively in English and are willing to travel domestically and internationally, including working onboard vessels and at customer sites when required.
