JOB OVERVIEW:
Serve as a strategic advisor supporting mergers and acquisitions by leading insurance due diligence, evaluating transaction-related risks, and ensuring seamless insurance integration throughout the deal lifecycle. The role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, producers, and the transaction team by providing strategic guidance on risk, coverage, and insurance program alignment across both ongoing operations and transactional events.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead insurance due diligence for buy-side M&A transactions, including review of policies, claims history, loss runs, and exposure data
- Analyze insurance programs to identify risks, coverage deficiencies, contingent liabilities, and transaction-related exposures
- Implement post-close insurance strategies, including entity additions/removals, coverage restructuring, policy endorsements, and tail/run-off coverage placement
- Serve as a trusted advisor on complex commercial insurance programs, renewal strategy, carrier negotiations, and ongoing risk management initiatives
- Collaborate with clients, producers, underwriters, legal counsel, and transaction advisors to deliver integrated risk and insurance solutions aligned with transaction objectives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering expert guidance on risk management, coverage structure, and compliance requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5+ years of client service, or High School degree with a minimum of 7 years of client service
- Team-oriented self-starter, with the ability to organize, prioritize, monitor, control workflow deadlines, and be flexible
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Adaptability and resilience in managing shifting priorities
- A collaborative mindset to work with teams across EPIC
- Insurance technical skills; ability to apply knowledge of coverage forms in analysis, identification of coverage gaps, and ongoing coverage consultation
- Receptive to feedback; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; high adaptability
- Ability to work well under pressure with attention to details
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical abilities
- Property and Casualty Insurance License
- Insurance Designation(s) preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with agency management systems such as Sagitta, ImageRight, etc
