What You Will Do
- Manage day-to-day AR operations, including planning, monitoring, directing, and evaluating team performance.
- Ensure compliance with departmental and corporate policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Lead people management activities such as work allocation, coaching, feedback, and team building.
- Drive performance management through productivity tracking, quality reviews, one-on-one sessions, KRAs, and PIPs.
- Prepare and review internal and client performance reports.
- Develop and execute effective work allocation and resource management strategies.
- Manage a team with a span of control of 100-150 employees.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes, Denials Management, and AR scenarios.
- Maintain expertise in both Federal and Commercial payor environments.
- Handle client interactions, escalations, and stakeholder communications effectively.
- Utilize knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, ICD, and CPT codes in denial management.
- Develop a strong understanding of client-specific workflows, processes, and operational requirements.
- Identify operational priorities and workflow challenges to ensure timely delivery of work.
- Monitor schedules and communicate risks or delays to leadership proactively.
- Implement corrective actions during system issues or operational disruptions to maintain productivity.
- Optimize resource utilization and plan capacity allocation to address backlog requirements.
- Participate in and support quality review meetings with production teams.
- Actively contribute to project launches and monitor operational progress during implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and exceed operational performance targets.
- Prioritize individual and team responsibilities while effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.
- Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with IT teams for implementation.
- Utilize MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's or master's degree.
- 10+ years of experience in the Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management industry.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring large teams.
- Strong understanding of AR operations, denials, and healthcare payer processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
