Job Summary
The Night Auditor is responsible for greeting guests, responding to inquiries, answering and re-directing phone calls, checking hotel guests in and out of rooms, and successfully performing audits and balances, while providing friendly, courteous, efficient service, and creating a memorable experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
- Interact with guests, ensuring prompt, accurate, and courteous service.
- Audit, balance, post, and report to include but not limited to: room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Perform all functions of the Front Desk including check-ins, check-outs, telephone procedures, wake-up calls, etc.
- Adhere to proper cash handling and credit procedures. Settle guest accounts according to Accounting standards.
- Must be able to cross-train in other Front Office related areas.

Requirements
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:
• Associates Degree; or 3-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Luxury hotel and/or luxury residence experience preferred.
• High volume/ fast-paced environment experience preferred.
• Overnight manager experience preferred.
• Proficient in English- verbal and written.
• Opera PMS experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements include:
• Long periods of stationary standing.
• The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
