- Assist in conducting fraud investigations, reviewing alerts and identifying suspicious account activity
- Support the documentation and preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) in accordance with internal and regulatory standards
- Monitor and help respond to Account Takeover (ATO) incidents, including detection, escalation, and basic containment actions
- Utilize SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools to review logs and identify anomalous or potentially fraudulent behavior
- Leverage security and analytics technologies (e.g., Cloudflare) to support traffic monitoring and fraud signal detection
- Perform basic data analysis using SQL and other data query languages to identify trends, anomalies, and fraud indicators
- Collaborate with fraud analysts and security engineers to improve detection rules and alerting mechanisms
- Assist in incident response activities related to fraud and account compromise events
- Maintain documentation for investigations, processes, and findings
- Build awareness of emerging fraud tactics, threats, and fraud prevention strategies in the financial services industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (or equivalent training/experience)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, academic projects, or entry-level roles welcome)
- Foundational knowledge or exposure to:
- Fraud investigations or fraud operations
- SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar)
- Account takeover (ATO) or identity-based security threats
- Basic experience or coursework involving SQL or data analysis
- Familiarity with security tools or platforms such as Cloudflare (or similar technologies)
- Awareness of Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) requirements and financial regulations (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and willingness to learn
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Internship or hands-on experience in fraud prevention, cybersecurity, or financial services
- Exposure to digital banking, payments, or FinTech environments
- Entry-level certifications such as Security+, Certified Cybersecurity Associate, or similar
- Familiarity with basic scripting or automation (Python, SQL)
- Interest in fraud analytics, behavioral detection, or risk scoring models
