As a Data Scientist for John Deere Financial at John Deere Brasil in Indaiatuba/SP, you will be responsible for developing, deploying and monitoring the performance of predictive models in support of JDF’S asset valuation team. This role works to transform data into insights to drive more efficient operations focused on Asset Valuations. You will be based in Indaiatuba, Brazil and align with the JDF Asst Valuation team headquartered in Johnston-Iowa-USA, aiming to execute and deliver the analytics and insights needed to support the business units. ## Mains Responsibilities

• Perform validation activities for models covering various areas like Credit Risk, Treasury, Accounting, Sales and Marketing;
• Contribute to various projects relating to risk identification and model validation processes;
• Perform validation of traditional statistical models as well as machine learning and AI-based analytical solutions;
• Evaluate compliance of models with internal Model Risk Management policies and regulatory expectations;
• Assess model limitations, risks, controls, and business usage to ensure appropriate governance and risk mitigation.

## Skills You Need

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related quantitative field;
• Advanced English (broad vocabulary, strong grammar, able to lead meetings, argue, negotiate and conduct training sessions);
• Strong experience in model building and data science;
• Experience with statistical modelling and data management tools such as Python, R, Databricks and SAS;
• Demonstrated experience with statistical and machine learning methodologies, including time series analysis, regression techniques, classification models, and credit scoring frameworks;
• risk management and lending environments;
• Commitment to team success and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem solving and different cultures and time zones;
• Good communication and teamwork skills;
• Availability for a hybrid work (3 days a week) at the headquarters in Indaiatuba, SP.

## What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience performing independent model reviews, conceptual soundness assessments, and outcome analysis;
• Understanding of SR 11-7 ,SR 26-2, CECL requirement and model validation practices;
• Understanding of model lifecycle management, model risk governance, and validation frameworks;
• Experience applying statistical analysis and analytical methodologies in analytics projects;
• Working knowledge of emerging AI and generative AI technologies, with a desire to learn how these tools are evaluated, monitored, and governed in a model risk management framework;
• Knowledge of finance and accounting concepts;
• Understanding of the lending/banking industry;
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
• Master's degree or specialization in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
