Key Responsibilities

  • Procure raw materials such as cement, aggregates, admixtures, rebar, and embedded items for precast concrete production
  • Source and evaluate vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability
  • Involved with negotiations of pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers
  • Issue purchase orders and track order status to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and shortages
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to forecast material needs
  • Resolve supplier issues related to delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies
  • Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred

  • 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in construction materials or precast concrete manufacturing
  • Knowledge of precast materials, production processes, and supply chain logistics
  • Experience with ERP or procurement software systems
  • Solid negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (preferred)

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with occasional visits to production facilities or supplier sites. May require coordination with vendors outside standard working hours
