Overview
Use mechanical and electrical skillsets to fabricate, assemble, and perform evaluation testing of new and production consumer medical device products in a test laboratory setting, accurately and precisely recording all performance data with integrity.
Deliverables
- Functional testing of products per established test plan and documenting of test results.
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment and the environment. Development of new equipment as needed.
- Fabrication and construction of prototype products.
- Ability to function in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all actions per Harmar safety guidelines and regulations, report and correct any unsafe conditions.
- Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Harmar Quality System. All quality systems to be applied and adhered to and report all quality deficiencies.
- Using test plan; fabricate, build, assemble, and install products following engineering prints, work instructions, and product manuals. Safely perform testing, accurately, and precisely recording all applicable data. Personal integrity is integral for success.
- Complete technical test reports detailing personnel, equipment, and products per regulation guidelines for medical Device Health Record (DHR).
- Design, build, and maintain both mechanical and electrical, test equipment and fixtures. Maintain the test environment as clean, organized and efficient.
- Provide support to continuous improvement activities within the organization.
Skills
- Computer skills required. Should be versed in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Very detail oriented.
- Familiarity using hand tools, power tools, drill press, bandsaws, and other tools necessary for fabrication. Familiarity with mills and welding is beneficial.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical measuring instrumentation desired.

Work Environment:
- Non-climate-controlled warehouse with some exposure to outside.
- Be able to lift 60-70 pounds.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- STEM skills desired.
- Engineering or similar coursework desired.

Requirements
- Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.
