Job Description:

This is structure and craft work involving the minor construction and repair of structures. Responsibilities include repairing and renovating existing buildings.  Work includes reading and reviewing detailed construction blueprints of large renovation projects; estimating work materials required to complete the job; planning and laying out the work to be completed.  Employees in this class are distinguished by the requirement to perform work related to the construction and repair and maintenance of buildings.  Work is performed under limited supervision.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Four (4) years education and/or experience in masonry and finish carpentry work.

LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (These must be met by all employees prior to attaining permanent status in this class).

Some positions may require a valid State of Maine Class C motor vehicle operator’s license.
