Planner, Environmental & Planning

This role supports the delivery of New Zealand transportation, energy and water projects by providing high-quality environmental planning and statutory support, including collating technical information, assisting with the preparation of assessments of effects, and drafting consent conditions and approval documentation. Working as part of our planning team, the role enables informed decision-making, regulatory compliance and efficient project approvals while balancing client objectives with environmental and community outcomes.

• Being a key part of planning teams delivering on multi-disciplinary projects

• Providing high value planning documents and technical advice on a variety of projects 

• Developing reports to exceptional technical and editorial standard and the ability to work to deadlines and budgets 

• Resourcing requirements for our junior planners, along with technical guidance to help develop their skill set and confidence

• Proposal and project management support.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in planning (or related) 

• Membership of Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) (or similar) 

• Proven experience in a similar role with 4 - 8 years of experience 

• An understanding and experience working in New Zealand Resource Management legislation is preferred but not required 

• Effective project management skills and strong written and verbal communication 

• A positive, solution-focused mindset and a desire to work as part of a high-performing team.
