Overview
As an HVAC Refrigeration Apprentice with BGIS, you'll learn to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical building systems under supervision. Your responsibilities include conducting facility walkthroughs and inspections, troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems, responding to service requests, documenting work in maintenance management systems, and supporting preventive maintenance programs. You'll participate in facility projects, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain tools and equipment. The role requires a high school diploma, enrollment in a Refrigeration trade apprenticeship with CCQ, minimum 1 year of facility operations experience (preferred), and a valid driver's license. Must be able to work shifts with on-call availability, wear personal protective equipment, and meet enhanced security clearance requirements. The position offers pathways to additional certifications and career advancement within a global facilities management organization.
