Heartline Staffing is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a 26-week correctional healthcare contract in Waymart, Pennsylvania. Two openings are available.

TRAVEL CONTRACT AT A GLANCE

Gross Weekly Pay: $1,700

Taxable Rate: $15.00/hour

Tax-Free Stipend: $1,100/week for eligible travelers

Contract Length: 26 weeks

Shift: Nights | 10:00 PM–6:30 AM

Location: Waymart, PA

Openings: 2

Overtime: Available if needed

Tax-free stipend eligibility is subject to applicable tax-home and IRS requirements.

THE ASSIGNMENT

Join a dedicated correctional healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), providing essential nursing care within a correctional facility. This role focuses on delivering compassionate, professional health services to a diverse population in a secure environment while supporting the safety and well-being of staff and inmates.

Correctional or mental health experience is preferred. At least 1 year of recent nursing experience, ideally in a correctional or psychiatric setting, is also preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to handle high-stress situations professionally, and an active Pennsylvania LPN license are essential for this assignment.

Requirements

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania REQUIRED
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills REQUIRED
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism REQUIRED
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and clearances specific to correctional healthcare REQUIRED

Preferred

• Correctional or mental health nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience, ideally in a correctional or psychiatric setting
• Bilingual abilities
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
