Concord Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dietary Cook to join our healthcare team. The Dietary Cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals while following established menus, special diet requirements, and food safety standards.

Position Details

Position: Dietary Cook
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Facility: Concord Post Acute

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Follow resident-specific diets and special dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain proper portion sizes and appealing food presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food supplies.
• Assist with inventory and minimize food waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other members of the care team.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable health regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing or healthcare dietary experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
