Job Description

**What You’ll Do**

As our Manufacturing Manager, you will own the end-to-end manufacturing performance (SQDCP: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People). Your daily mission includes:

• Operational Leadership: Translate complex customer demands into executable production plans while maintaining a high-energy presence on the shop floor.
• Strategic Growth: Lead the industrialization and ramp-up of our site, partnering with Engineering to implement new technologies and best practices.
• People Development: Build, coach, and empower a high-performing team. You will foster a culture of accountability, cross-training, and continuous improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to eliminate waste and optimize flow, cycle times, and ergonomics.
• Safety & Quality Champion: Serve as a visible leader for EHS and Quality, ensuring our "Safety-First" culture is embedded in every task and that we consistently meet the highest standards of excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant manufacturing leadership experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience within an industrial, engineering, or related environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, with proven success leading shopfloor teams across all aspects of SQDCP.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Strong production planning, capacity management, and operational performance experience.
• Experience within engineered-to-order or configure-to-order manufacturing.
• Experience in electrical, electronics, automation, panel building, or related technical manufacturing fields.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
• Demonstrated mastery of Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in NPI (New Product Introduction), product transfers, and manufacturing industrialization.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Engineering).
• Customer-focused, results-oriented approach with a high level of ownership and accountability.

Location & Travel

This role is based in the Salt Lake City area, Utah. It is a site-based, shopfloor-focused position essential to the successful ramp-up and long-term growth of our Grid Automation facility.

• Travel: Up to 10\% travel may be required to visit other GE Vernova facilities, suppliers, and global Grid Automation locations as business needs evolve.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
