KS1077 - Live-In Nanny - Dallas, TX

Overview

A loving family of four in Dallas, TX, is seeking a full-time, live-in nanny to help care for their 11-year-old son with communication challenges.  Experience with older children, autism, speech or communication challenges, or special education is a plus.  The older son is 18 years old and independent.  The position is primarily for the 11-year-old.  The schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 7:45am-9pm, with downtime during the day when the son is at school.  It will be a guaranteed 40 hours per week, with flexibility for longer hours when needed.  The family is ready to hire once they find the right fit.  

Responsibilities

• Create structure and routine
• Plan engaging activities
• Encourage independence
• Become a positive, consistent presence in son's daily life
• Light child-related housekeeping
• Meal preparation
• Transportation to/from activities and appointments
• Travel with the family is required

 Note:  The nanny will have a private bedroom and private bathroom.

Requirements

• Must be legal to work in the US
• A clean and valid driver's license
• Experience with older children, autism, speech or communication challenges, or special education would all be a plus.
• Mature, patient, warm, and proactive
• Able to take ownership of creating a structured and engaging day
• Seeking longevity

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering a competitive rate of $45/hr+ depending on experience.Benefits include:
