HVAC Install Manager

Overview

The HVAC Install Manager oversees the daily operations of the Residential HVAC Installation Department. This leadership role is responsible for managing installation teams, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, driving operational efficiency, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Install Manager serves as a key leader in recruiting, training, developing, and supporting installation technicians while ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support HVAC Installation Technicians and installation support staff.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop installation team members.
• Oversee installation scheduling, workforce allocation, and departmental productivity.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure installations meet company, manufacturer, and code requirements.
• Maintain and enforce safety standards and procedures for all installation projects.
• Provide technical guidance and field support to installation teams when needed.
• Resolve installation-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Partner with sales, dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor installation performance metrics, project completion rates, and quality standards.
• Ensure accurate job documentation, permits, compliance requirements, and project records are completed properly.
• Manage inventory usage and coordinate equipment and material requirements.
• Stay current on HVAC technologies, equipment, industry trends, and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience required.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems, installation techniques, and equipment.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and develop installation technicians.
• Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Experience with residential and light commercial HVAC systems preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field service management software.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
