The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support our client in Chantilly, VA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, driving quality, and collaborating with a supportive and growth‑minded team.
Responsibilities:
The Software Test Engineer will develop and implement test standards, evaluate complex test specifications, analyze results, and drive corrective action to ensure products meet technical and contractual requirements. You will determine optimal testing strategies for sophisticated systems, identify product characteristics that improve testability, and integrate customer requirements into practical system‑level test solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate integrated testing activities and confirm completeness of test requirements.
• Perform system‑level technical analysis and prepare detailed evaluations.
• Ensure tests are executed accurately, consistently, and efficiently.
• Motivate and guide test team members to maintain quality and productivity.
• Set and communicate quality assurance standards across the team.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve testing outputs.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and design practices to recommend modern, cost‑effective testing solutions.
• Develop automation strategies within Agile project environments.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 5–7 years of related work.
• Active TS/SCI.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
Experience with:
– Agile methodologies
– Scrum
– Automated testing
– Security testing
– MS TFS
– ZAP (security testing)
• Strong organizational, leadership, project management, time management, negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Desired:
• ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent.
• Experience with load testing.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$86,600 - $181,800
