The Role
We are seeking a Crypto Research Associate (Entry-Level) to join the Fidelity Digital Asset Management business. This team of multi-disciplinary research analysts develops frameworks for evaluating tokens, blockchains, and protocols that form the foundation of the rapidly evolving blockchain economy.
This team brings the rigor and discipline of traditional investment research into the world of digital assets. We’re looking for intellectually curious individuals with a strong interest in crypto and blockchain technology, who are eager to learn and contribute to high-quality investment research.
The Value You Deliver
As a Crypto Research Associate, you will contribute to:
- Fundamental analysis and tools: Assist sector specialists in crafting “investment memos” that evaluate technical characteristics, security, and value-accrual mechanisms of blockchain projects.
- Decision tools and models: Creating quantitative tools for assessing portfolio construction and liquidity profiles to inform portfolio positioning.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in final year) in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Internship or academic experience related to crypto, blockchain, or investment research is a plus.
- Strong interest in digital assets and eagerness to learn about blockchain protocols and investment frameworks.
The Skills You Bring
- Basic understanding of blockchain technology and crypto ecosystems.
- Familiarity with concepts like smart contracts, tokenomics, oracles, and decentralized infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Collaborative and curious mindset, with a willingness to work across teams and disciplines.
- Exposure to programming or data tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Solidity, or cloud platforms like AWS) is a plus but not required.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
We offer a wide range of benefits to meet your evolving needs and help you live your best life at work and at home. These benefits include comprehensive health care coverage and emotional well-being support, market-leading retirement, generous paid time off and parental leave, charitable giving employee match program, and educational assistance including student loan repayment, tuition reimbursement, and learning resources to develop your career. Note, the application window closes when the position is filled or unposted.
