Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Department: Clinical Operations
Reports To: Clinical Manager / Director of Clinical Operations
Position Summary
Miller Vein is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) to join our growing team. The RVT plays a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease by performing high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care throughout the patient journey.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive venous duplex ultrasound examinations of the lower extremities.
• Evaluate patients for venous insufficiency, DVT, superficial venous thrombosis, and other vascular conditions.
• Accurately obtain, document, and interpret ultrasound data for physician review.
• Produce clear and complete preliminary findings and reports.
• Prepare patients for examinations and provide compassionate patient care.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient evaluations and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, accreditation standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, patient coordinators, and administrative staff.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
Required:
• RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) credential.
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound or vascular technology program or equivalent experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and venous disease processes.
Preferred:
• Experience in a vascular laboratory, vein clinic, interventional radiology, or vascular surgery practice.
• Experience performing venous insufficiency studies and DVT evaluations.
• Knowledge of venous ablation procedures and follow-up imaging.
