Warehouse Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Inbound Logistics:
  • Regular use of RF scanners during shift.  
  • Unload, inspect, and sort verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Process incoming freight and put away parts in correct bin locations as labeled and verifying parts are the same. 
  • Log received goods into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and route items to appropriate storage or staging areas.
  • Report and document any discrepancies, damages, or missing inventory immediately.
  • Assist the Team Lead with any customer service and claims department requests.
  • Performs daily cycle counts efficiently and accurately, 150 lines minimum per day.
  • Ability to make authorized changes to primary locations and products to ensure safe and efficient storage.
  • Assist management in research and correction of quality related issues.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Outbound Logistics:
  • Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing order shipments according to customer specifications and carrier guidelines.
  • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading (BOL), and other shipping documentation as needed.
  • Ability to pick efficiently and accurately within high-density picking locations.
  • Load freight trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo securing.
  • Meet and/exceed performance targets consistently.
  • Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
• Inter-Company Stock Transfers:
  • Process, pick, and prepare transfers between company facilities and distribution centers.
  • Coordinate with operations teams and site managers to ensure accurate scheduling and transfer timing.
  • Perform systematic inventory movements in the WMS (Korber) to ensure real-time inventory visibility.
  • Reconcile transfer paperwork, ensuring physical items match transferred records exactly.
• Inventory Control & Safety:
  • Ability to conduct cycle counts of 150 lines minimum per day. Assist with routine inventory audits. 
  • Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Knowledge of Continuous improvement and 5S initiatives are an asset.
  • Ensure safe and clean work areas.

• Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience: 2+ years of warehouse experience covering both receiving and shipping functions.
• Systems: Experience using WMS systems for picking, stock movements and transfer orders.
• Equipment: Certified on standard forklift, narrow aisle order picker and reach truck equipment.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, physical stamina (ability to lift up to 50 lbs), and solid communication skills. Ability to multi-task with little or no supervision.The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
