About Us

The Workplace Department (WP) delivers a broad range of facilities management, workplace services, and property services across the Bank’s portfolio, ensuring safe, secure and efficient environments that support the Bank’s operations and people. Within WP, the Project Delivery Section is responsible for planning and delivering a diverse range of infrastructure, security, workplace, and asset improvement projects across multiple sites.

This role sits within the Asset Refresh team of the Workplace Project Delivery Section and is based in Craigieburn, whilst being connected to the wider Workplace Department across Sydney and Melbourne. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, contractors and technical specialists, the team is responsible for delivering a range of minor to medium-size property, workplace and infrastructure projects.

About the Role

As Project Lead, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of small to medium-size Craigieburn-based projects end to end, with support from the wider Asset Refresh team.  You will lead key project activities across the full project lifecycle, including planning, scoping, budgeting, design coordination, procurement, construction tendering, delivery/construction phase activities, and project handover. You will be responsible for contributing to project outcomes within the Bank’s Project, Risk, and Governance Management frameworks.

The position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of external design consultants, contractors and specialist installers. Your contribution will enable the Project team to achieve successful outcomes on time, on budget, and to the required standards. This role is ideal for a proactive, solutions focused professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys working with diverse stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Delivery and Governance

  • Support the active management of the project schedule, budget, resources, scope, design, quality and benefits.

  • Contribute to the uplift of project and program maturity by ensuring effective governance, delivery discipline, and continuously supporting improvement across all aspects of project delivery, processes, and templates.

  • Deliver monthly Governance and Project reporting for the project.

Operational & Compliance Experience

  • Ability to work in high-security or operational facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and security policies for employees and contractors.

  • Ability to ensure compliance throughout project delivery through accurate record-keeping, WHS adherence, and coordinated change control processes to enable reliable delivery and smooth transitions.

Risk Management

  • Ability to identify, manage, and support the mitigation of risks and issues using the Bank’s Risk Management Framework.

  • Ability to challenge assumptions, simplify complexities, and capitalise on opportunities to improve project value and execution.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Ability to build trust and confidence through structured engagement, clear messaging and forum facilitation with internal and external stakeholders and external service providers.

Financial Management

  • Ability to manage project financials throughout the project lifecycle, in line with budgetary controls and forecasting requirements.

  • Ability to manage variances in project schedule and financial position, enabling early identification and resolution of issues.

Procurement & Contract Administration

  • Ability to deliver procurement activities as required, in partnership with the Bank’s Procurement Team.

  • Ability to undertake contract management and administration, including preparation of, and adherence to, contract documents.

About You

You’re a confident project manager with minimum four - five years’ experience in delivering a range of minor to medium-size property, workplace or infrastructure projects in high security or operational facilities. You are organised and structured in your approach to project management, able to work independently, willing to roll your sleeves up and thrive in environments that require problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and accountability.

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in coordination of a range of minor to medium-size property, workplace or infrastructure projects in high-security or operational facilities.

  • Demonstrated understanding of project management frameworks, methodologies, and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in tendering processes and contract administration in the property and construction industry.
