As a Lab Scientist Professional, you participate in scientific studies and activities supporting registrational and non-registrational clinical trials. You will work with a holistic approach to produce vital laboratory test outcomes, applying your excellent attention to detail in a flexible and dynamic team environment.

The Opportunity

• You perform high complexity laboratory testing on clinical specimens, and you evaluate quality control and test results against acceptance criteria to support project decisions.

• You support the laboratory’s participation as a Clinical Testing Site by performing Clinical Validation testing and accurately completing all applicable documentation.

• You comply with study protocols, IRBs, Manuals of Operations, Test Instructions, and related Code of Federal Regulations and ICH guidelines.

• You use technical writing skills and Good Documentation Practices to complete project documentation, and you assume accountability for recording methods and results timely and accurately.

• You participate in routine lab maintenance, lab safety, ISO, and QSR implementation, and you perform work according to internal safety guidelines and external regulatory agencies such as OSHA.

• You support aspects of panel build and sample processing projects, adhering to standards to produce Test Panels and Sample Sets for Clinical Validation Studies.

• You analyze alternative approaches to solve problems, and you keep your supervisor informed of project status and critical problem areas.

Who you are

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field, or you have an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• You possess a minimum of 2 years of basic laboratory experience in either an academic or industry setting.

• You have experience documenting detailed Clinical Trial activities in Case Report Forms, Sample Accountability, and Investigational Material Accountability Logs.

• You know and effectively use the broad concepts of your specialization to resolve problems, and you plan and execute your own work under general supervision.

• You demonstrate the ability to multi-task, and you establish and work effectively with individuals or teams outside of your immediate functional area.

Preferred

• You have 1 year of preferred relevant industry experience, including experience participating in clinical research work within a laboratory.

• You are capable of performing basic troubleshooting for issues related to instrumentation.

• You are available for domestic travel approximately 10% of the time.

 The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is 65 500,00 - 121 600,00 USD Annual.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
