The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $20.50 - $21.50 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Project Equipment Shipping and Logistics Support
- Coordinate with LSS MU engineers to prepare equipment for shipment to customer sites.
- Assist with palletizing, labeling, packaging, and staging equipment for transportation.
- Create and process shipping documentation required by Dematic Transportation Services.
- Coordinate Bills of Lading (BOLs) and ensure all required paperwork is attached to shipments.
- Move completed shipments to the appropriate shipping dock locations for pickup.
- Maintain shipping records and provide shipment status updates as requested.
2. Receiving and Storage Management
- Receive, inspect, and transfer incoming loads delivered to the 507 dock area.
- Move received equipment and materials into designated LSS MU storage locations.
- Notify engineers and management of newly received equipment, materials, and project assets.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming materials and storage locations.
3. Excess Project Material Management
- Assist in the creation, organization, and maintenance of the master excess project equipment inventory.
- Catalog and track excess project materials stored in the LSS MU storage cage.
- Work with engineering and project teams to identify opportunities for reusing excess material on newly awarded projects.
- Maintain accurate inventory records to maximize asset utilization and reduce material waste.
4. Mailroom and Package Management
- Receive and process all incoming departmental deliveries.
- Notify the appropriate lead engineer of incoming shipments and deliveries.
- Label all received packages with the applicable project number, customer name, and CE Lead Engineer.
- Ensure packages are routed and stored in the appropriate locations.
5. Shipping Supply Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for shipping and packaging materials, including:
- Corrugated Gaylords
- Wooden pallets/skids
- Packing tape
- Labels
- Packaging materials
- Other shipping-related supplies
- Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Generate material replenishment requests and submit purchase recommendations to Joe Jaworski for approval.
6. PPE Program Support
- Monitor inventory levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Notify management when replenishment is required.
- Assist in maintaining the departmental PPE SharePoint inventory and assignment records.
- Support tracking and accountability of employee-issued PPE.
7. Department Tools and Equipment Management
- Maintain an inventory of all CS MU department tools, testing equipment, label printers, and related assets.
- Develop and maintain a SharePoint-based check-in/check-out tracking system.
- Monitor equipment availability, condition, and calibration status when applicable.
- Track consumables such as label stock and notify management when replenishment is needed.
8. Special Projects and Departmental Support
- Provide administrative, logistical, and operational support for special projects as assigned.
- Assist engineering and management teams with department initiatives, process improvements, and organizational projects.
- Support departmental activities and priorities as business needs require.
9. Storage Cage Organization and Security
- Maintain the LSS MU storage cage in a clean, organized, and secure condition.
- Perform routine inspections to verify proper storage practices.
- Ensure inventory is clearly labeled and stored in designated locations.
- Report safety concerns, inventory discrepancies, or security issues to management.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory control and storage management.

- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, warehousing, or logistics operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and inventory databases.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with engineers, project teams, and management.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (pallet jake).
- Capable of lifting and moving materials weighting up to 75 pounds in accordance with company safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Reporting Relationship
Reports directly to the LSS MU Cage department supervisor and supports the operational, logistical, and administrative needs of the LSS MU engineering team.
