Job Summary and Responsibilities

- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. [1,2,3,4,5,6,8]
- Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. [1,2,3,4,5,6]
- Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate. [1,2,3,4,5,6]
- Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate. [1,2,3,4,5,6,8]
- Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolution of problems. [1,2,3,4,5,6,8]
- Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning. Implements multidisciplinary patient education care plan and documents patient teaching. [1,2,3,4,5,6]
Job Requirements
Required:
- Current CA RN licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS Certification (within 90 days of hire icandidate does not currently have)
Preferred:
- Three years acute care experience.
