Based in São Paulo, you will contribute to Aurora's energy modelling activities by developing analytical and computational tools, enhancing our modelling methodologies, analyzing complex datasets, identifying future market trends, and generating insights that support strategic decision-making across the global energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Aurora’s suite of energy market models.
- Collaborate with our research and consulting teams to derive insights from model results
- Contribute to continuously improving how the modelling team operates.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required attributes:
- Enrolment in undergraduate programs in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Molecular Sciences, Economics, or other quantitative fields
- A genuine enjoyment of working through complex problems and the ability to explain your reasoning clearly
- Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python or similar
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in English
Desirable attributes:
- Experience working with quantitative data through coursework, projects, or internships, including analysing data and drawing insights
- An interest in energy markets and how well-designed models improve real-world decisions
- An interest in statistical and/or optimization techniques.
- Comfortable using AI tools to support coding and analysis, with a critical eye for reviewing AI-generated outputs
