GDIT is seeking a Project Manager to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Center for Information Technology (CIT) for the Business Applications Services (BAS) Program, specifically the Integrated Time and Attendance System (ITAS). ITAS manages employee timekeeping, leave, and approval workflows. The Project Manager oversees team activities across planning, daily operations, sprint coordination, communication routing, and collaboration with CIT and BAS stakeholders.
Responsibilities include leading tasks related to requirements refinement, development planning, release cycles, reporting, and coordination across NIH payroll processing timelines.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Planning ITAS work assignments aligned to biweekly payroll cycles
- Coordinating release schedules, sprint tasks, and operational windows
- Supporting requirements, design, development, testing, and release activities
- Managing stakeholder communication across ICs and CIT operations
- Supporting onboarding for new ITAS personnel
- Coordinating issue identification, backlog management, and risk tracking
- Managing contract reporting and schedule alignment
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing IT projects of similar size and complexity using similar technologies
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects in agile or iterative EPLCs
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading IT projects for the Federal Government
- Ability to work with key owners and stakeholders supporting timekeeping and payroll operations
- Ability to lead teams in analyzing and adopting new technologies quickly
- Solid understanding of Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing, and EPLC
- Ability to obtain and maintain NIH Public Trust
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting NIH or CIT environments
- Experience supporting Federal timekeeping or payroll systems
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Active NIH badge is a plus
